HOW MANY MUSICIANS PERFORM IN BILLBOARD COLLECTIVE?
Billboard Collective's main event ensemble has two main versions
6 piece - Male Vocalist, Female Vocalist, Guitar, Keyboards, Bass, Drums
10 piece - Male Vocalist, Female Vocalist, Guitar, Keyboards, Bass, Drums, Trumpet, 2 Saxophones, Trombone
We do, however, have Jazz ensembles from 2 - 26 musicians, string quartets, brass quintets, solo piano, solo guitar, and many many more ensembles ranging from 1 - 26 players through all styles arranged for background music and more, both instrumental and with vocalists.
HOW LONG DO YOU PLAY FOR?
Our usual booking is a 4 hour window where we will perform 2 sets that are 1.5 hours long. This allows for a bit of a sliding start time, added speeches etc. However if you have a program or schedule for us to work around we will accommodate it for you.
DO WE PROVIDE THE SONG LIST?
As sound industry professionals Billboard Collective has years of experience in event sound management and production. We create a sound profile based on top song choices, and provide our professional approach to programming around this. We ensure that your party is the best it can be!
CAN WE MAKE SPECIAL SONG REQUESTS?
Absolutely! Many of our collective members are professionally trained composers and arrangers within a variety of musical genres including, jazz, pop, funk, soul, classical, country, hip hop, blues and more! We would like to work with you to make your night special
HOW DO WE BOOK YOU FOR OUR EVENT?
Contact us so we can get all the details that are important to you, we will send you a price breakdown with all the options that are of interest to you. Once you make a decision, we will send an invoice and a contract for you to sign and return with a deposit. With that you have secured your date, and we will take care of the rest!
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE MUSICIANS ARE ON BREAK?
Prior to the dance portion, during the mid set break, during dinner, between speeches, Billboard Collective will provide background music through the PA system via a preconceived playlist. We will provide your hosts with the use of a microphone for speeches and announcements throughout the event if required.
WHAT HAPPENS FOR SET UP?
Standard production set-up occurs earlier in the day, at a pre-arranged time when the sound technician and musicians setup, and sound check the gear. It is done in a fast and efficient manner.
WHAT IS A STANDARD PRODUCTION PACKAGE MEAN?
Standard production package references the equipment necessary to produce live music for your event. This includes lights, mics, amplifiers, monitors, lighting, cables, stands, instruments, sound technician etc. **This equipment is based on a 200 personsguest list, any number higher than this requires external production team for hire.
